As an artist we share our abilities with those who would like portraits of loved pets. I enjoy the opportunity to spend time with these animals though at times it may only be through a photo. I feel a connection with the animals I have painted from the time I spend in concentration on their features. Each family that has the gift of a pet then shows joy in seeing the pet they consider family honored in the painting. Sadly pets do not live as long as we do and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to create for them.

This painting was created from a photo of my sisters pet Kelsey who passed a few years later she is grateful for the reminder of her friend each time she sees the painting hanging on her wall.
